Creating a Vietnam Monument for Students

and Alumni of Garfield High School

Many individuals within local Veterans groups and the Bulldog community are committed to this long overdue recognition.  It is well-documented that our returning Vietnam Era Veterans were not given the deserved dignity and respect that was afforded to Veterans returning from subsequent conflicts.

Qualifying Veteran Criteria

Following are the Qualifications for a name to be inscribed on the Monument: • To have served during the Vietnam War Era • Service in the Republic of Vietnam from February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975 • Any other duty station from August 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975 • To have been a student at Garfield High School at one time or another • Branches of Service: USA, USAF, USCG, USMC, USN • Submit Application along with Proof of Service and School Attendance
